- Planting: Dig a hole that is wider and deeper than the root ball of the tree. The hole should accommodate the roots without bending or crowding them. Carefully remove the tree from its container, being cautious not to damage the roots or the graft union. Place the tree in the center of the hole and backfill with soil, ensuring the graft union is above the soil line. Gently tamp down the soil around the base of the tree to remove air pockets and provide stability.
- Watering: Water the newly planted tree thoroughly to settle the soil around the roots. Ensure that the soil is evenly moist but not waterlogged. Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during the first few months after planting, to promote root establishment. Water deeply and less frequently as the tree matures.
This dwarf fruit tree is expected to fruit within 2-3 years if left potted. For more fruits, plant directly in the ground.
