A long, vining runner native to southern Asia, the Amydrium Medium Silver is a stunning cousin of the monstera.
Watering: Water when top 2-3" of soil are dry. Avoid allowing to dry out, but do not allow your amydrium to sit in water as this will lead to root rot.
Light Requirements: Medium, dappled sunlight. Bright and/or direct sunlight will scorch leaves. Tolerates low light, but will not grow at its full potential.
Humidity Needs: Moderate, 65-70% is ideal.
Soil Preference: A well-draining, nutrient rich mix is ideal. A premium aroid soil with adequate perlite is recommended.
Support: These plants flourish when they are able to grow as they would in their native climate. A moss pole or trellis is highly recommended.
Fertilizing: Benefits from a well-balanced fertilizer 1x/month
Repotting: Being a climber, your amydrium is not likely to outgrow its pot with frequency, but will benefit from repotting every 2-3 years to ensure soil nutrients.
Common Issues: Yellowing leaves can be an early indication of root rot due to overwatering. These plants are also susceptible to mealybugs and spider mites.
