The Grape fruit, Seville orange, or marmalade orange is a citrus tree (Citrus × aurantium) and its fruit. It is a hybrid between Citrus maxima (pomelo) and Citrus reticulata (mandarin). If you like making your own jam and marmalade at home from your homegrown fruits, then give this orange a go! This half-hardy tree grows scrumptious tasting fruits. Glossy dark green foliage is set against clusters of small white fragrant flowers blossoming from April to June. This attractive citrus tree will not only make great fruit but smell wonderful too! It can take up to a year for the fruits to ripen, but once you have a taste, every minute is worthwhile. You can harvest our oranges when ripe and once picked, they can keep for up to two weeks. Orange trees are capable of surviving brief periods below 0C, but for the best result, are grow in large containers and move indoors to a bright frost free position from autumn to spring. A pollination companion will not be required for this tree, as it is self fertile. Height: 2m (6'). Spread: 1.2m (2').
