Potted Uziza

Uziza, known botanically as Piper guineense, is a perennial climbing plant native to tropical regions of Central and Western Africa. It is commonly semi-cultivated in countries like Nigeria, where its leaves are referred to as uziza and are used for their light green spicy flavor with a peppery taste. Both the leaves and seeds (or berries) of the plant are utilized in culinary practices and traditional medicine.
